we need a sandbox, daddy!

We are currently in the midst of finding the time to work on a sandbox/our backyard landscaping since I have finally ripped out the un-even brick patio that existed when we moved in. It has taken us FOREVER to figure out how to make it happen...but, I think we are FINALLY ready...the only problem we have now, is getting all the materials to the house. We actually made it to Lowe's the other afternoon only to realize that my car is not nearly big or sturdy enough to carry CRAZY amounts of sand...we need a larger car...but that is a whole other story!
So, maybe we can rope Paul into letting us use his Tahoe and we might have it completed by the time we have some people over for Brock's baptism...but, I am not holding my breath.
Poor Jake...he has been digging in a our mud-pit for the past year now...the kid wants a sand box so bad...he is going to be so in love once it is done! I cannot wait!

doesn't get much cuter than this

Our good friends Chase and Lauren just got the most adorable white lab puppies and Lauren brought them out to the house this past weekend to play with us.
I didn't get the greatest pictures, but here are some to show off how cute they are...they are 8 weeks old and could not stop attacking Brock. Then once we took them outside it was game on for Rookie and Dirk!

Thing 3

Well, if you didn't already know...here you go...we are expecting baby number three around here...and we could not be any happier! I just had the 12 week "check up" last week, and they say that the baby is measuring about 10.5 weeks along. So, with 11 weeks of pregnancy now under our belts we are finally pretty free and clear of major scares and now just praying for a healthy baby.
Today is the first morning I am actually feeling 100% in about 2 months. You have no idea how much of a blessing it is to feel good, until you have to struggle with it on a daily basis. I might be speaking too soon, since this pregnancy has given me MAJOR night-sickness...so, tonight we shall see.
I might be crazy in saying this, but I totally feel like this has been the hardest 1st trimester yet. It could be the hormones not letting me remember the other two, but man...this has totally kicked my butt the past couple of months.
Joe has been a saint. Cooking, cleaning, helping out with the boys A TON, ect...I am so thankful for his servant's heart!
No cravings for me so far...everything just sounds NASTY. With the boys I was wanting anything I could get my hands on...including fast food...but this time that makes me want to gag. I have only had a date with the porcelain god once so far...and am hoping for no more.
The Dr. gave me some Zofran, which I take only with I HAVE to, and it has been a help this past week. Thank God for modern-day meds!

Other than that we are chugging along! Jake is very intrigued by my already expanding belly...it seems so huge already I thought there could be twins or something...
We cannot wait to meet him/her. We will also be finding out the sex this time too...why not...we thought we would try something different! So, stay tuned!
More Hornberger's...more Hornberger's!

"truck honey" (aka. hungry)

Good thing we are able to afford to feed two boys and then some, because around here even our truck's get cereal in the morning. Jake likes to feed Mater some Life cereal...what a cute little imagination he is developing!

Brock's a-talkin'

It is official....we have our first words!!
"juc"...with MAJOR accentuation on the "J"
"dada" - yes, it is official...dada has made it's way out before mama!

He is also beginning to point at everything and be able to tell us more of what he is wanting. I can tell he understand's what we are saying, because whenever it is something he wants that we ask him about, he get's his big old signature Brock-smile on his face....it is classic!

He is sooo good at walking now...we do not ever see him crawl anymore. He even walked some of the mall with me the other day because he is getting frustrated being contained in his stroller. I am so proud of how he is growing up...

Brock's 1st birthday

I cannot believe it has taken me a week to finally get these up...oops...but, without further a-do...here are some pics of sweet Brock's big day. We had some amazing friends come up as well as super family. Thank you all who made it...we have some blessed little boys!
