I was trying...

To give the boys these adorable grown up long hair styles.  They have great hair...however...Texas heat and humidity mixed with boy's activity level just left us with some SWEATY boys.  Not cool for mom to do that just for the sake of a cute hair cut...so we shaved them.  Back to cool summer breezes here.  And we had to have fun with the cutting process.  Brock went first, got a half shaved mohawk and then a butchered hair cut.  Poor guy...guess that's what happens to the guinea pig :-)

Holt-isms

I cannot believe our youngest is almost 2.  WOW.
He is officially at an age of "isms" as I like to call them...so here is what we love about Holt these 18mo-2 year old days:

He is Hilarious and THRIVES on his brother's laughter AT HIM.  This kid will do anything for a laugh.  Fall, yell, random screams...and if his brother's laugh...it just keeps going...

He is FEARLESS.  No, seriously.  I worry.

He has an AMAZING laugh.  All our boys have had some AMAZING belly laughs and Holt is just the same.  He LOVES to laugh.

He LOVES to smile.  This kiddo has a GREAT smile...you CANNOT help but smile back, no matter how mad you might be.

He is one of the boys...and if he can't hang Lordy we hear about it.  No little amount of frustration in his yells.

He loves to dance.

He doesn't care much for what anyone else is up to...he marches to the beat of his own drum.

He is STARTING to talk...however, his talking is grunting...mostly closed mouth.  Not sure why he thinks that is talking...but he sure does make it look and sound cute.

He is 100% all around awesome.  Just like his brothers, just like their daddy.  I am so thankful for all my awesome men!

And some fun videos to show off his awesome personality and oh that laugh....

4th of July...Friendswood style

All growing up Friendswood has had one of the best 4th of July day's in town...maybe even the state.  We do a HUGE parade down the main street (which Nickle and I used to dress up our bikes and ride in, or jump on a school float for)
Then there is a huge concert at night followed by a great fireworks display.
Quite the hometown tradition.
This year was the first year the boy's got to participate too.  It totally is not anything I was thinking we would ever do, but my sweet friend Melissa called and asked us to float it up with her and some other friends for the new FHS alumni organization.
It was HOT!
The boys had some fun...but it was HOT.
However...it was good to catch up with old friends and see what the parade is all about all over again.
(Holt stayed and watched from the sidelines with Mim & Papi)

And of course we have to sword fight

Then the rest of the day...for our family...was all about Papi's bday.  We had dinner on my parent's awesome patio and had some yummy birthday cake!

How cute are those cheeks?

These boys are going to kill me one day...I have so much "juicy-ness" on them...it's not even fair!

A little naked yard work is good for the soul.

my muses...all of them....

Nope...of course it's not just Broccoli...all of these boys are going to be little heartbreakers...and they sure do know how to pose in front of my camera...not sure if that is a good thing or not...

Sometimes I even just throw them in with the "real" models...just for kicks...

summa time...

So these pics are actually a little old seeing that Brock is back in a diaper here for a little stint...however...the summer is here and we are ALL about anything water...here are two of them running through the sprinkler in the front yard.
