Brock = 4 months!

We had our 4 month check up for the Brockster on Monday, and we have another strong, healthy boy. He is in the 90% for height and 75% for weight. "Long and Lean", that is how we make them around here.
He is growing so much, and has become such a little boy. (Although still a little "weird" looking). He LOVES his tummy time.
He is still smiling ALL THE TIME.
He will just be patiently waiting for you in the morning or after nap times and get the biggest smile on his face when you peek over the crib.
He is doing LOTS of cooing and drooling.
He is IN LOVE with his brother...anytime Jake comes around Brock is just in awe.
He has developed some sweet curls, and the hair is turning more and more blond as he gets older. I have to admit, I have already given him a hair cut, it was getting way too long for my taste.
He has the most ticklish feet (just like his daddy)
He also has his mama's tickle spot (like Jake) right under his chin.
He is using his hands like a champ more and more...and, of course, everything goes into the mouth.

We will begin some rice cereal this week. But I want to wait until Joe is home for a good stretch of time to do it with us!

Other than that, we are developing right along. I am so thankful for our boys! Here are some pics I have taken over the past couple of days of our little big man!

who would have thought drool could be so cute??

That seems to be all Jake likes to say, well maybe not say, but shake his head as these days. Even if he means yes...it is still as shake of the head "no". silly kid!
We are still not saying any words, but he understands everything we say. It is a little creepy almost. I know one of these days a whole sentence is just going to pop out of his mouth like he has been talking this whole time.
He has begun to really get a kick out of going into Brock's room and helping wake him up. And let me tell you what...if I open the door and Brock is not already awake, Jake does the trick...ahhhhhhhh...the boy does not understand "shhh".
But these are some sweet pics Joe and I were able to get the other afternoon when Jake went in to work his magic. Brock adores anytime Jake comes around, so the excitement he shows when Jake runs over to his crib is totally worth a loud mouth wake up call, I guess.

He has also given Brock his bottle a couple of times too.
Although, of course, the time I try and get a picture of it, this is all I got.

So far they both just love the sight of eachother. You can tell it is just killing Brock to not be able to move around like Jake is, and conversely, Jake is always trying to roll Brock and play with him a little bit rougher than I like for him to at this point. But I am so thankful for how well they do around eachother. And to hear them crack up at eachother....ohhh...it doesn't really get much better than that! I love my life!

So Joe told me that yesterday afternoon the Brockster made his first official roll over!! Horray! We are so proud of him. Next week is his 4 month check up, so I am sure I will have more to report then.

i'm naked!

yes, it is true...since getting all my lenses stolen, I feel like I have lost it...and with the way that I lost them, I am beginning to think I am losing it (in the head)...
So, the lenses have been ordered and should arrive in a couple of days, but until then...no pictures...
I feel so naked...

big boy bed

We'll it has been happening for about a month now...but Jake is officially in his "big boy bed" and LOVING it! As long as he has his blank-y!

Soon we will be moving Brock into the same room...
I know they are going to LOVE falling asleep together...

new kicks!

How much fun are these?? I have been wanting to get Jake some Chuck's for a while now, and just could not resist when I walked by them at Target the other day.
And yes, he normally wears them with clothes, but he HAD to put them on after his bath the other night, because they were his new shoes that he was so excited about! I just couldn't resist getting some pics!

sweetness even over texting

If these boys ever doubt that their daddy would rather be somewhere else instead of tucking them in...I have the proof that it is not EVER going to be the case. I was the blessed recipient of this sweet text while I was tucking his son's into bed last night and he is out of town. I just had to document it and brag about my sweet hubby a little.
